EVA copolymer is a thermoplastic polymer and a typical random copolymer. The short polar acetate branches introduced into the polyethylene backbone disrupt crystallization, reducing ethylene-branch crystallinity while increasing inter-chain distance, making EVA more flexible and elastic than polyethylene.
